That's great. Many thanks!

It's rather hard to make out the characters on that printed form but after a bit of trial and error I got them right. Just in case they might be of use to others, they are:

Master 碁江濤

I am an old student of Master John Kells. It was only after I returned to the UK and was in the centre in Wimpole St that I discovered that it was Dr Chi I'd met. A chance chat with another student who'd studied with Dr Chi in Canada led me to ask John to show me a photo of him. You can imagine how I felt when I realised. John was also delighted for me and told me how lucky I'd been.

Thanks again!

Does anyone know the Chinese characters to Dr Qi Jiang Tao's name?

I was very fortunate to push hands with him once in Taipei in 1981 but on my several subsequent visits there have never been able to pronounce his name properly for any of my Tai Chi friends there to know who I am talking about.

I say 'push hands' but as soon as he lay his hand on mine I knew my mind was his. I could move my body but nothing changed the feeling of my attention being trapped at the point of contact on the back of my hand. I was in shock for days after. Nothing in all my practice had prepared me for that experience.

I am consistently surprised by the fact that in a world as astute and well-informed as ours, that so few individuals seem to pay attention to valuable options which are readily accessible to them to heighten their personal wellness. It seems that a bulk of people are more interested in a band aid in the form of a doctors visit and precriptions than in supervising their own health process, and doing so in a way that is natural, predictable, and sustainable. That is what makes me treasure attempts like yours to educate and prompt individuals to activity. I hope that through these endeavors, and others, that cognizance increases rapidly and the population at large returns to a mind-set of individualized health that doesn't rely upon specialists and drugs.

Please download the pdf file. The length of the chih is 11inches in some or 10 inches in other documents.
I prefer the 11inch version

Excellent video. It's great to see Dr Chi on the net. As one of the most outstanding exponents of the Cheng Man ching school, he has been under-represented largely due to his extraordinary modesty. I'm pleased to see this tribute to him appear at last, and look forward to the release of further materials as and when they become available.
